Hello Canada, we are back! Here's our most recent interview which took place in Kamloops, BC . This video shows the work that we are doing with the Hill-tribe children in Northern Thailand.

Our vision is to coordinate projects of benevolent work, helping children, youth, orphans and poor families in Thailand, particularly those from remote Hill Tribes with limited access to resources. We oversee project-based work to provide entrepreneurial, educational, foster care, and other opportunities to improve living conditions wherever possible.

By providing an education and opportunities for these young people, it enables them to earn a better living and dramatically change their lives, breaking the poverty cycle and combating the risks of sexual exploitation. Some interesting statistics about Hill Tribes and sexual exploitation in Thailand (Sources: 2013, Jeffrey Hays:www.factsanddetails.com/southeastaisa and www.hopeforhilltribes.org)

-the average Hill Tribe family makes less than $500 per year and
struggles to provide food, medical care and education for their
children, an average Hill tribe person makes 12 times less per day
than an average Thai person.
-many Hill Tribe members, refugees, and migrants are
undocumented and have no legal status
-many are taken advantage of by human traffickers who force
them into prostitution or slave labour
-some estimates state as many as 1 million women work in
Thailand’s sex industry and 20% of all Thai women, at one time in
their life, work as prostitutes, although Thai government official
reports are more conservative
-1 in every 3 sex workers in Chiang Mai comes from a hill tribe
family
-Thailands Heath System Research Institute estimates that child
prostitutes make up 40% of the prostitutes in Thailand
-11% started working in the commercial sex trade before the age of
16 and large numbers are under 18 years of age
-80% of women working in the sex trade are from rural areas
-87% have completed less than seven grades at school
-35% can not read or write

We are committed to fulfilling our vision to empower Hill Tribe people by;

-Supporting community development in Northern Thailand through
foster care programs, educational development, both academic and vocational, remote village and school outreaches, living standards improvements, life-skills training, ESL Programs, providing opportunities to be self-sufficient and successful, especially with the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community
-Exposing teams or individuals to the culture and the reality of life
in Northern Thailand, and providing opportunities for those
interested to visit and work with us, on hands-on improvement
projects, and Vocational Training projects, to see first hand, the
difference they can make in a young person’s future.
-Provide support and development of Faith-based training and
education in all areas of business and community leadership.
As our vision grows, our projects expand and our ministry morphs
the vision just keeps getting BIGGER, it’s bigger than all of us and
that’s where you come in. We have learned that the Bigger the
Vision, the Bigger the Blessings. Does your heart speak to you to
help these at-risk peoples? If so, go to our “What can you do” page
and see how you can invest financially to help us transform lives.
