I love Christian Light Education Curriculum, especially the Learning to Read for phonic education. special thanks to Regina of Christian Light Education at the FPEA homeschool convention for sharing her 17 years of experience. Christian Light Education is always a staple at the FPEA Florida Homeschool Convention and are the most helpful to meet and talk to at the homeschool convention. #FPEA2017

The Homeschool Convention is one of the best ways to have endepth and in person conversations with publishers like Christian Light Education. Being able to meet with publishers help give insight on the potential of curriculum.
Christian Light Education Webite: www.clp.org
Christian Light Education is a complete curriculum from grades 1 through 12, including teacher material, support items, and an extensive line of high school electives. We produce academically and morally sound materials that adhere to Biblical fundamentals.

Our CLE Sunrise editions are designed for a variety of learning situations—traditional classrooms, individualized classrooms, and homeschools. We have incorporated suggestions through field testing and educator reviews in order to offer you materials that are easy for any teacher to use, and exciting yet challenging for students.

Is your goal for students to learn practical knowledge from a Biblical worldview? Do you wish them to be informed of the world around them and far away, and to develop a sympathetic understanding of other cultures and backgrounds? Do you want to foster a strong identity with Christian beliefs while imbibing the necessary requirements for a solid education? If so, you have found the right website to browse!

Their Learning to Read Program:
Learning to Read introduces and reviews all consonants sounds, consonant digraphs, long and short vowels, most two-letter vowel sounds, and many sight words. It also integrates handwriting, spelling, and listening skills to create a complete language program for beginners.

Each sound is introduced with a picture card followed by a story focusing on the picture and new sound. For example, for the t sound, the story of children discovering a turtle with a house that “just fits” captures the child’s attention and motivates him to learn the sound.

The story ends with a fun rhyme to connect the sound with the letter—“/t,t,t,t/ Turtle Tim takes his house on top of him.”

Learning the rhyme and repeating it rivets the combination in the child’s mind. Questions about the story help develop comprehension. A moral lesson or truth about God’s greatness and goodness helps develop the child’s character.

Except for the Picture Cards and Sound Slider, second edition materials will not mix and match with the first edition of Learning to Read.

Language Arts 100 Second Edition LightUnits are integrated with this course. Students begin Language Arts 101 LightUnit when they begin Learning to Read 105-05 LightUnit. After completing Learning to Read, students will be ready for the Reading 100 I Wonder reader and workbook. Click here to view the introduction from the Learning to Read Teacher's Guide. An overview of the integration is included.

Practical, Wellness, Economical, and Creative Solutions for Everyday Life

We are now in the tiny house of life with under 800 square feet for 8 of us. Yep a large family in a tiny house. Yes a lot of kids well 6 of them as we homeschool too. I try to use public domain books that are really vintage textbooks. It gives us the feel of Charlotte Mason and Robinson Curriculum into our own feel.

I am a little flair of fun and crazy with 6 kids. We homeschool and try to keep ourselves in budget for life. I am a crazy scrapbooker and am back to digital scrapbooking with the FORVER Panstoria Artisan Software. I am a planner addict too! I am constantly asked how I do it, so here it is. Here is a window into our life, I hope that it either makes you smile or helps you out.
