Ever since quarantine started, one of the biggest silver linings I’ve found from it is that for the first time in 6 years it feels like I’m able to stop and take a breath - something I probably never would have been able to do for myself had life stayed on it's normal course. I’ve been able to spend more time with my wife and dogs, at home, doing nothing but what makes me happy for longer than I can ever remember. And most importantly, I’ve realized I’ve finally started writing music again without an agenda - instead of making music with some sort of bias like “I have a tour coming up, I have a big festival coming up, etc.” I’m really just writing music that makes me happy, and I’m writing A LOT of it. I think "Wildlife" is just the first step in what feels like a totally new chapter in the Jauz project, with a lot more of those songs coming in the near future. There will still be plenty of “bangers”, but I’m really excited to explore a side of my creative self I never really let through. So for now, expect songs, not tracks. Hope u enjoy ❤️ Sam
