#Tracker, Aslam risked his life to save 2 people from the jaws of a Lion #junagadh #girnar #asiaticlionThere

have been very few incidents of attacks on humans by Asiatic lions. This incident is seen in this video. On 12/10/2013 morning at Paturan area of Girnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Junagadh. Three lions were rescued and treated from Girnar Wildlife Sanctuary. During the process of releasing the three lions back into the wild, two of the lions escaped from the cage into the forest but one of the lions came back and attacked the guards and the trackers. While two people were seriously injured. But forest department tracker Aslam Dada bravely risked his life to save a forester and a trekker. How tracker Aslam Dada saved two people from the jaws of a lion is clearly visible in the video.

The Asiatic lion is a social royal animal, it does not attack all humans, but sometimes it does if provoked. But such incidents are very rare. Rarely does this happen

Through this channel and media, we are working to create public awareness for the conservation of the rare Asiatic Lion, forest, flora n fauna, and biological diversity, making a modest effort to dispel widespread misconceptions about Asiatic Lions and provide correct information. As the population of lions is increasing and they are now spreading to new areas, we are making people aware by giving positive support to the government and the forest department for the conservation of lions.

The Asiatic lion (Panthera Leo Leo) is the only species found in the world in the Gir National Park of Gujarat state in India, listed as endangered on the IUCN list. Gir forest and its surrounding areas are the only habitats of lions. The 15th Asiatic lion census across 30,000 km was conducted in June 2020, with a growth rate of 28.87%, with a total lion population estimated at 674, including 159 adult males, 262 adult females, 115 subadults, and 138 cubs. (However, the current estimated population is around above 1000)

In 1904 only 11 Asiatic lions remained. But Nawab Mohabbat Khanji of Junagadh banned hunting and started conservation. Since then the lion population has been steadily increasing. The forest department is doing lion conservation with the help of local people, which is considered to be the world's biggest success story. The Asiatic lion is a royal social animal, lions and humans consider each other as friends, and they never attack humans, the lives of lions provide economic benefits to farmers and the tourism industry.
