Sci-Fi Movies That Went Too Far
Science-fiction is all about big ideas and pushing boundaries, but since the genre is so open-ended, it's also filled with stories that go a bit too far, especially on the big screen. Sci-fi cinema can certainly be sweet and kid-friendly, but it's also home to some of the most nightmarish sequences ever committed to celluloid. Unlike straight horror, there's an awe-inspiring and mind-bending element to disturbing sci-fi, and it often takes viewers to some pretty twisted places.
