Triangle Skeptics in the Pub – Science Activism in a Pandemic with Susan Gerbic
Susan recounts the activism she and her teams undertook during the two-plus years of lockdown. She explains how grief vampires took advantage of online resources, and argues we should also. Also discussed are the trials experienced on Wikipedia fighting against the nonsense, and the battle to stay in the game.
Susan founded and manages About Time, a non-profit organization focusing on scientific skepticism and activism. While her particular focus has been “Grief Vampires” (psychics), her activism encompasses all areas of skepticism. You can find out more at AboutTimeProject.org. Susan is in the area because she received the Capital Area Skeptic’s Philip Klass Award "for outstanding contributions in critical thinking and scientific understanding."
