Wildlife of the Southeast Trail Camera Videos (My Best Bobcat Video Yet!)
I was ready to move this trail camera to a new location (due to slow wildlife activity), but decided to leave it in hopes of getting one of my dream videos: a bobcat crossing a log across a creek during the day. I'm so happy I left the trail camera. It took four months of patience at this spot, but a stunning bobcat finally crossed. It was one of the last videos recorded before I checked the camera. This experience has made me want to do more log crossing videos like this in the future. They can really draw wildlife if the creek or river has steep banks and the log makes a convenient and safe way to cross. Feel free to ask questions or share animal/camera trap stories in the comment section below. If anyone knows which species of mouse/rat the camera recorded, please let me know! Thank you all.
Location: Alabama, USA
Trail Camera: Browning Recon Force Advantage
Species Shown: White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus Virginianus), Raccoon (Procyon Lotor), Eastern Gray Squirrel (Sciurus Carolinensis), Fox Squirrel (Sciurus Niger), Coyote (Canis Latrans), Opossum (Didelphis Virginiana), American Crow (Corvus Brachyrhynchos), Carolina Wren (Thryothorus Ludovicianus), Barred Owl (Strix Varia), Eastern Wild Turkey (Meleagris Gallopavo Silvestris), Wild Hog (Sus Scrofa), and Bobcat (Lynx Rufus). I am not sure on the mouse/rat or bat species, so someone please let me know if you have an educated guess.
