In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating our right to make financial moves, like financing a home, without a man’s signature.

Before the 1974 Equal Credit Opportunity Act it was common place for creditors and banks to discriminate against women, requiring them to have a man sign for a loan even if they qualified completely on their own.
